It is an important fluorinated organic intermediate for the production of perfluorinated vinyl ether, perfluorinated acetone and perfluorinated propionyl fluoride. Due to the terylene ring of HFPO and the strong electron absorption of fluorine atoms, the carbon atoms on HFPO are vulnerable to the attack of nucleophiles, so HFPO can react with water, alcohols, sulfuric acid, amines, format reagents, organolife and other nucleophiles, and react with acyl fluoride to prepare perfluorovinyl ethers that are widely used.
