Event: Yonghe Group’s base in Siziwangqi, Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, is seeing its “Special Fluoropolymers” and other projects gradually completed and put into operation.

Developments in the last year:

PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride): Successfully put into production and achieved sales. The company’s planned PVDF production capacity covers multiple high-end grades, including lithium battery grade, coating grade, and water treatment membrane grade. Currently, it is in the capacity ramp-up and customer certification stage, especially in the high-value-added lithium battery binder field. Once certified by mainstream battery manufacturers, it will significantly contribute to performance.

HFP (Hexafluoropropylene): As a key intermediate in the production of high-end fluorinated monomers and polymers such as PVDF, FEP, and HFPO, Yonghe’s Inner Mongolia base has significantly increased its HFP production capacity. This marks the company’s achievement of an integrated industrial chain closed loop from basic raw materials to high-end polymers, greatly enhancing cost competitiveness and supply chain security.

FEP (Perfluoroethylene Propylene Copolymer): Production capacity continues to expand. FEP is mainly used in the insulation layer of high-performance cables (such as 5G base stations, data centers, and new energy vehicle cables), and market demand is steadily growing. Yonghe is one of the important domestic suppliers of this product.

PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy resin): Technological breakthroughs have been achieved, and industrialization capabilities are now available. PFA is one of the most advanced fusible fluoroplastics, primarily used in high-purity pipelines and reactors for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. It boasts extremely high technological barriers and added value. Achieving domestic production of PFA is a significant demonstration of the company’s technological strength.

HFPO (Hexafluoropropylene oxide): Mass production has been achieved. HFPO is a core raw material for synthesizing ultra-high-end fluorochemicals such as perfluoropolyethers and fluorinated ether ketones. Its self-sufficiency signifies the company’s entry into the most cutting-edge fluorochemical field.

Market Analysis: The successful commissioning of the Inner Mongolia base has enabled Yonghe Co., Ltd. to successfully transform from a fluorochemical company primarily focused on refrigerants into a leading domestic supplier of fluoropolymers. Its full-industry chain layout advantage—”fluorite ore → hydrofluoric acid → refrigerants → fluorinated monomers (HFP, etc.) → high-end fluoropolymers (PVDF, FEP, PFA, PTFE, THV etc.)”—is rapidly becoming apparent.
